Description:1933 Gene Sarazen and Tommy Armour 18 Hole Match advertising poster (framed, VG). 23 1/4" x 35" paper advertising poster for an "18 Hole Match" between Gene Sarazen and Tommy Armour held at the Delaware Country Club on July 27, 1933. Poster reads "Greatest Show On Earth - Gene Sarazen and Tommy Armour - 18 Hole Match - with Bill Tiner of Anderson and George Caskey of Muncie - Delaware Country Club - Wed July 27, 3 P.M. - Wood Club demonstration by Sarazen - Iron Club demonstration by Armour - After the Match - They will answer any funny questions about your own game". Upper left corner states "Admission - $1.00 plus 10-cents tax". The bottom left border has hand-written "Tickets For Sale In Pro Shop". Poster exhibits multiple fold lines and various degrees of scattered creasing. Some minor loss is evident at the upper left and bottom right corners. Light soiling/spotting is evident as well as a small amount of discoloration near the center of the top. Poster has been professionally housed in a 29"x41" frame. Displays very well, and grades VG overall.
