Description: Christy Mathewson "Big Six" boardgame display with related photograph c.1922 Tastefully done framed display (28"x39.5") housing both the original box and playing board from Piroxloid Products brand "Big Six" board game. A large image of Christy Mathewson decorates the lid and a smaller appears on the game board spinner. Both pieces show light wear (slightly more pronounced on lid) and they appear to have been mounted in a manner that floats the pieces (causing no damage) and they can be easily removed. An original paper stock insert (which would have been used when playing) is floated on the back of the frame. Included is a vintage photograph of Mathewson (framed to 9"x11") in which he is shown holding a boxed copy of the game: Apparent EX overallEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,500)
