Description: Exceptional Carl Yastrzemski professional model baseball bat c.1965-68 - MVP Award and "Impossible Dream" era (PSA "GU 9.5"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Yastrzemski facsimile signature in the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 30.8oz. Model number "W215" is factory stamped in the knob which has a vintage "8" player number notation written on. Outstanding use is evident with ball/contact marks scattered throughout the barrel. In addition there are cleat marks and green/red rack streaks. A moderate coat of pine tar remains on the handle which has an expertly restored crack. The 1965-68 time period was one of the most productive of Yastrzemski's legendary career in Boston and the 1967 season was arguably his greatest. He claimed the American League MVP Award and a Triple Crown, leading the League in average, home runs, RBI, hits, and runs. The offered Yastrzemski bat is among the finest in private hands with regard to dating period, overall usage characteristics, and display value.
