Description: 1959 Pee Wee Reese L.A. Dodgers World Series Championship ring. Desirable ring has "Los Angeles World Champions" lettered around the face which features am inset diamond of approx. .3 carat weight within a Dodger blue background. One shank has the year "1959" atop a rendering of Dodger Stadium and the team logo is incised in a raised baseball. Opposite has a crossed bats and ball decoration with engraved "Pee Wee Reese" facsimile signature. Marked "Balfour 14K" on the interior band and weighs (32) grams. Size (9) with some light evident wear and with the exception of the diamond and blue background having been replaced, it appears to be all original and as issued to Reese. Reese had been a longtime member of the Dodgers organization starting his Hall of Fame career with them in Brooklyn in 1940 and retiring in 1958 just after their first year on the West Coast. He was with the organization as a Coach in 1959 and this was the second World Series Championship he earned. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions: EX/MT
