Description: 1964-65 Bill Russell "Outstanding NBA Player" National Academy of Sports Award. Presentational piece is uniquely designed with a (6) pointed star set atop angled round base. An incised plate on the front reads, "The National Academy Of Sports Annual Award, Outstanding NBA Player Of The 1964-65 Season." Stands approx. 11" tall with a hint of light surface wear. Russell earned his second consecutive rebounding title in 1964-65 averaging (24.1) per game. For his efforts he was awarded his fifth NBA Most Valuable Player Award and the Celtics collected their sixth consecutive World Championship.
