Description: Bill Russell autographed "Game Used" inscribed Boston Celtics professional model shorts c.1960s. White satin shorts with white and green trim have been signed "Bill Russell" and inscribed "game used!" in marker rating 8 out of 10. Wilson tag inside notes size (38) and there are a number of production codes stamped below. Among these are one which reads "KOC." While we are not aware if the same dating method was employed by Wilson for basketball shorts as was utilized for baseball caps, were this stamp to be found inside a cap it is generally accepted that the year of manufacture would have been 1967, specifically. Use and some general age related wear are evident throughout with some fraying to the trim. Minor staining/discoloration on the back has no effect on the overall display value when viewing the autographed side. A notable rarity and one of a select few pieces of game worn equipment which was retained by Russell from his playing days.
