Description: Rare Frank "Home Run" Baker single signed baseball (d.1963)(Frank Baker Barber & Pallbearer Provenance). Notably clean off white Harridge AL baseball signed on side panel, "To my good friend Tony Nardone From J. Franklin Baker". Blue fountain pen signature remains very bold having been stored in its original ball box (included) rating 8 out of 10. Ball itself is nearly pristine with tiny faded pink facsimile stamp of Minor League president on sweet spot in addition to standard Harridge stampings. Baker was one of the game's great stars during the first quarter of the 20th century as a member of the powerful Philadelphia Athletics dynasty during the 1905-15 period. The offered ball is one of the finest condition grade Baker single signature examples we have encountered with provenance to his good friend, barber , and pallbearer Tony Nardone. The lot is accompanied by the original Harridge ball box as well as period news articles related to Baker from the Nardone family.
