Description: Rare Jocko Conlan professional model baseball bat c.1920s. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with "Conlan" block lettered into the barrel measures 34.75" long and weighs 33oz. Factory side writing has faded however a date which appears to read "7 31 25" can be readily discerned beside what is likely the name "Conlan." Remnants of the original hand addressed shipping labels remain affixed in two areas. Outstanding usage wear is evident throughout with ball marks covering the barrel, grain swelling (due to repeated contact), and a large handle crack. This crack and the more pronounced area of swelling have been secured with several vintage nails. An exceedingly rare early career game bat from the man who went on to a Hall of Fame umpiring career.
