Description: Rare Ross Youngs professional model baseball bat c.1920s. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Youngs facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 36.8oz. Strong usage wear is evident throughout with contact marks visible on the hitting surface and some grain swelling due to repeated contact. There is an "H" shaped crack in the handle. Youngs batted .322 over a (9) year career (cut short when Bright's disease claimed his life at age 30) with the New York Giants during which he played on (4) pennant winning teams and helped the club to World Series Championships in 1921 and 22.
