Description: Luke Appling autographed professional model baseball glove c.1930s. Top of the line left handed laced web glove has "Professional Model" and number "157" markings inside. Well used but remaining in fine overall condition and signed "Luke Appling" in marker rating 9-9/10 out of 10. Attributed to his use in a December 2003 auction listing which states that it was obtained by a collector during a visit with Appling at his home. Appling spent (20) years as a member of the Chicago White Sox and posted a .310 career batting average earning a pair of American League batting titles along the way. At the time of his retirement he held League records for game played and double plays by a shortstop.
