Description: 1945 memo regarding military travel of Moe Berg, baseball player turned WW2 spy (VG). Interesting military document dated Dec. 29, 1945 from Asst. Adj. General Louis J. Russo from U.S. Forces European Theater HQ outines travel plans of "Mr. Morris Berg (American Civilian)," authorizing his travel on Jan. 20, 1945 from Paris, France to Frankfurt and Nuremberg, Germany for five days. As a baseball player turned spy, Berg's primary objective in 1945 was to investigate the collapsed remnants of Nazi Germany's atomic bomb project and evaluate incoming Soviet intelligence. Memo is in fragile condition with age toning, a few small tears and a chip, primarily along the edges: VG.
