Description: Rare Buck Weaver professional model baseball bat c.1932-33 (PSA/DNA GU 8) Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 34.75" long and weighs 31.0oz. "Bucky Weaver" is block lettered in the barrel and a "Powerized and Bone Rubbed" logo beside the centerbrand pegs year of production to 1932-33. Strong use is evident throughout and there is some separation along the grain on the back and a handle crack. PSA has noted in the included LOA that this is the second post-career Weaver bat they have authenticated with the other being a side written example which appears to be the same model. After Weaver's banishment from Major League Baseball for his knowledge of the 1919 Black Sox scandal, he, like other banned teammates, participated in numerous barnstorming and exhibition games. Weaver appealed his case for many years after his banishment to no avail in spite of his outstanding performance in the 1919 World Series. Includes LOAs from Hunt Auctions and PSA/DNA (GU 8)): EX
