Description:Very rare 1924 Washington Senators World Championship presentational watch fob from the Ossie Bluege Collection. Important presentational 14k gold watch fob done to commemorate the Senators win over the New York Giants in the 1924 World Series. Then in the twilight of his storied career, Walter Johnson lead a power packed team that included fellow Hall of Famers Goose Goslin, Sam Rice, and Bucky Harris. Anchoring their infield at third base was Ossie Bluege who had been with the club since 1922 and would remain a regular in their roster until 1939. Highly visual piece features elaborate designwork incorporating a relief of the Capitol Building above a pair of crossed bats with ball at center highlighted by a diamond solitaire of .25 total carat weight. Red and blue enameled portions are titled in gold block lettering, "Washington World Champions 1924." Marked "14K Dieges & Clust" on the back below "Oswald L. Bluege 3rd Base" text. The configuration of the back of this fob is one of two types that have been documented to exist with a similar example from the collection of team owner Clark Griffith..
