Description: Outstanding 1959 Ty Cobb autographed baseball. Spalding W.Giles Official National League baseball has been signed "Ty Cobb" on the side panel. Green fountain pen signature rates a perfect 10 out of 10. Ball has soiling and surface discoloration throughout. It has been additionally signed by Chicago Cubs players UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Ernie Banks (clubhouse signed) and Chick King and there is a handwritten "April 1, 1959 Giants + Cubs" notation (written in unknown hand). The two teams had faced each other in a Spring Training game and a period newspaper account confirms that Cobb was in the stands. Among the strongest Cobb autographs we have seen on a baseball and it can be positioned such almost none of the additional writing is visible when viewing the Cobb autograph.
