Description: Early Spalding lace front baseball uniform c.1890s-1910s. Collared pull over jersey is an early style with lacing on the front which marked a transition between the earliest bib front jerseys and later examples which had buttons. Both the jersey and pants have a "Spalding" double circle logo label inside along with a blank tag below on which a name or other information could be written. Jersey has an "A" on the left sleeve (note - some of the color has transferred from the felt into the surrounding material) and there are a pair of period woolen stirrup socks included for display. Use and some general age related wear throughout includes light scattered discoloration. The pants have some more pronounced spotting a few small holes. The sleeves are detachable and those which are currently in place appear to be replacements which were skillfully done in the original style: Overall EXEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,250)
