Description: Rare early chest protector c.1890s. Leather and canvas chest protector with padding inside is one of the earlier models we have handled. Unmarked but of high quality construction for the period with the leather neck strap in place (nearly separated on one side below the buckle) and the lower strap not present (a small piece is included).
