Description: Rare Paul and Lloyd Waner Lucky Strike advertising display panels c.1920s. Pair of approx. (14.5"x35") heavy stock panels presumably represent both sides of what was likely a larger (3) panel advertising display. The brothers are shown in Pirates uniforms and in the same poses which were used to illustrate the more commonly seen trolley car signs which were issued around the same time. We can not recall and example of this larger piece, with these end panels, and despite their numerous condition issues they offer strong display value. Both have heavy wear throughout including soiling/discoloration, water damage, and wrinkles creases. Both have areas of material loss with the Paul Waner having a hole in his chest and Lloyd Waner missing portions of the upper illustrated layer at lower right: see descriptionEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
