Description: Stock certificates and other pieces from the Stoneham Collection. Includes (2) PSA encapsulated "National Exhibition Company" stock certificates which have "Stoneham Collection" pedigree noted on the labels. Both issued in 1891 and signed by John B. Day (team President) and J.W. Spalding (Treasurer), one made out to and signed on the back by Arthur Soden; additional 1891 dated certificate signed by Day and Spalding which is made out to William Brown and signed by him on the back (this is possibly the Giants player of same name however that can not be confirmed); (3) certificates (dated 1896-1901) which are signed by Andrew Freedman in his role as team President, one of which is made out to him and signed by both Freedman and John T. Brush on the back; (2) certificates (dated 1905 and 1908) which are signed by John T. Brush on the front; 1923 dated certificate which is signed by Charles Stoneham as team President (rips/tears and small piece of tape on back to secure portion in place); and (3) "Cuba = American Jockey and Auto Club" stock certificates which were issued in 1920. Varying degrees/types of wear throughout which is slightly more accentuated in on some pieces (one, as noted, has heavier rips and tears).
