Description: 1999 Bill Russell City of Boston presentational award. Pewter bowl has been engraved with the seal of the City of Boston with "Thomas M. Menino, Mayor" noted below. Text on the opposite side reads "Presented To William Fenton Russell, For Your Outstanding Contributions To Mentoring The Youth Of The City Of Boston, May 26, 1999." Presented to Russell at the May 26th event at the FleetCenter in which the Celtics re-retired his famed number (6). Stands 4.5" tall and measures 9" across at widest point with a touch of light wear. Marked "Paul Revere Reproduction Colonial Pewter By Boardman" on the underside. A fine association piece between Russell and the town for which he helped to win (11) NBA Championships.
