Description: Highly Important Bill Russell Boston Celtics NBA Presentational "11 NBA Championships" Career Commemorative Ring presented by Commissioner David Stern (Most Career Championships by Professional Sports Athlete). Important ring has the number "6" on top face set within an enamelwork shamrock over a bed of small diamonds. "Bill Russell 11 NBA Championships" is lettered around the beveled edge. The NBA and Celtics logos appear on either side with the years of each Championship incorporated into the design. Marked "14K" on the interior band beside a now indistinguishable makers mark. Size (12.5) with mild wear that largely effects the text on the right side (when wearing the ring) of the top and shank. Weight (47) grams. The ring was presented to Bill Russell by NBA Commissioner David Stern during ceremonies at which Russell’s number 6 was re-retired by the Boston Celtics. This truly unique presentational ring stands as a poignant symbol of Bill Russell’s iconic achievement of winning eleven NBA championships in a span of thirteen seasons. This remarkable run included eight straight titles, a mark which has not been remotely challenged by any player or team since. Given the unique nature of this very special presentational ring, iconic status of recipient player, and relation to the greatest team in the history of the NBA the offered ring must be considered among the most significant of its type, perhaps without equal. Includes signed letter of provenance from Bill Russell: EX
