Prestigious honor awarded by the Metropolitan Baseball Writers Association annually beginning in 1949-50 and continuing through the mid-1970s. Russell averaged (24.1) rebounds per game during the 1964-65 season leading the Boston Celtics to an unprecedented sixth consecutive NBA Championship (and their 7th in just 8 years). Scalloped edge silverplate bowl sits atop 6.25"x6.25" wooden base.
