Description: April 16, 1963 Eddie Mathews 400th home run attributed baseball. Spalding W.Giles Official National League baseball showing expected use/wear has a more pronounced scuff on one side panel. Period ink notation reads, "400th April 16, 1963." The Braves played the Phillies at Milwaukee County Stadium and Mathews hit his 400th career home run off Jack Hamilton in the 7th inning. At the time he became just the eighth player in history to reach to milestone number.
