Description: 1975 Brooks Robinson Baltimore Orioles professional model home uniform (SGC/Grob Superior)(MEARS A8)(Ex-Phil Wood Collection). White knit jersey retaining "Orioles" orange on black tackle twill team name across the front along with "5" underneath. Matching "Robinson" orange on black tackle twill lettering affixed to the back above number "5". Interior tail front has "Rawlings manufacturer's tag affixed with "Set 1 #8P 1975" flag tag. Brooks Robinson has signed the jersey on the tail front in black sharpie. Striking visual example which dates to Robinson's final full season with the Orioles (played part time in 1977) and exhibits light to moderate wash/use wear. The jersey was originally obtained by noted uniform collector Phil Wood from Orioles equipment manager Clay Reid back in 1977. The jersey dates to the season in which Robinson won his 1th (and final) Gold Glove award totaling a record 16 in all. Superb example with exceptional team source provenance.
