Description: 1976 Babe Ruth "Most Memorable Personality" presentational award. Substantive award as issued by Major League Baseball following a months long election organized by then Commissioner Bowie Kuhn to name the games most memorable moments and most memorable personality. Visually impressive piece stands just under 18" tall weighing 38lbs. with the upper two thirds done in cast metal which bears an impressed MLB logo and "Baseball's Most Memorable Personality" text. Affixed at the top is a life-sized metal baseball. A plaque applied to the base front reads "George Herman Babe Ruth...Elected To The Hall Of Fame 1936+" with his teams/years listed in between. Balfour" label is applied to the underside. Touch of light age related wear. Includes letter of provenance from the Ruth Family: EX/MT
