Description: Rare 1938 New York Yankees World Series Champions team signed photograph. Sepia toned large format photo has been signed by (18) including Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Earle Combs, Joe Gordon, Joe McCarthy, Bill Dickey (traced), George Selkirk, Johnny Murphy, Steve Sundra, Myril Hoag, Tom Henrich, Joe Glenn, Bump Hadley, Paul Schreiber, Red Rolfe, trainer Doc Painter, Bill Knickerbocker, and John Schulte. Period fountain pen signatures rate uniformly strong 7/8 to 8 out of 10 with only Painter (in different ink) and Dickey (traced) lesser. Marked "Empire Photographers" at lower left. Framed to 14.5"x22.5" with visible area (approximately 10.5"x18.5") showing only a touch of light wear. Yankees team signed images of the 1920-30s era are particularly scarce with the offered 1938 example being the first we have offered of its type.
