Description: Rare 1939 New York Yankees team signed photograph with Lou Gehrig. Sepia toned photo taken in Spring Training has been signed by all (38) shown including Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Red Ruffing, Joe Gordon, Joe McCarthy, Lefty Gomez, Babe Dahlgren, Tom Henrich, Red Rolfe, Wes Ferrell, and others. Period fountain pen signatures generally rate 6/7 to 7/8 out of 10 with a few (including McCarthy) having faded to lesser. Framed to 12.5"x14.5" for display with visible area (approximately 8"x9.5") showing some light toning and wear including a few creases. A "Thorne" photographer's mark appears at lower right beside the year "39" and there is a faint period "1939 - World Champions" caption written along the bottom edge. One of only a handful of team signed photographs from Lou Gehrig's final season which has surfaced that includes his signature. Includes LOA from JSA: Sigs.
