Description: Outstanding Joe Sewell professional model baseball bat c.1920s. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Sewell facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 34.5" long and weighs 37.4oz. Extensive usage wear is evident throughout with ball and hit marks covering the hitting surface which has grain swelling due to repeated contact. A handle crack is secured with vintage nails and there are (2) additional in front of the barrel. Period tape, applied to aid in grip, remains on the lower handle and there is an outline above where another tape ring was removed.
