Description:"Nameless Base Ball Club" attributed photograph c.1870s. Fine quality sepia toned photograph showing players in what appear to be top of the line early bib front uniforms which have an "N" on the shield. Handwritten notation on the back relays that it is the "Nameless Base Ball Club of Gerard, Erie Co. PA 1872-1873-1974." Those shown are identified (again, we attribute this information and can not confirm it) and among the names listed are Jim Hart who may be the same Hart who went on to a career as a Major League Manager. Image remains on period 8"x10" mount which has some chipping/wear and a half circular portion on the top (effecting both mount and photo) cracked off and has been reattached: See description
