Description: 1870 Philadelphia Athletics B.B.C. Carte de Visite by Gihon. Desirable CDV displaying a photographic composite that shows members of the 1870 Athletics. Most notable among the group is A.J. Reach, one of the top players of the era, who would go on to successful career as an executive and later sporting good manufacturer. He, and many of the others shown, would go on to win the National Association Championship the following year. Technical grade accounts for general wear which includes creasing, moderate toning/discoloration, and what appear to be some moisture stains (which are most prominent on the right side when viewing from the back).
