Description: Mammoth Kearsage of Stoneham (MA) baseball team attributed albumen photograph c.1870s. Sepia toned photograph showing a team of baseball players in studio setting wearing bib front uniforms and there is period equipment in the foreground. The piece measures 15.75"x19", an uncommonly large size for the time period, and is mounted to heavy stock backing. The central portion displays some light general toning with a few scattered condition flaws (nicks and scrapes). Heavier wear to the edges includes a few small chips. There are small pieces of clear tape applied to the left and lower edges. Nearly all imperfections of note could be matted out when the piece is framed for display: VGEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
