Description: Vintage Ty Cobb photograph by Tracy Mathewson, c.1925 (EX). Approx. 8"x10" photo depicting Cobb wearing glasses after an eye operation while he was player/manager with the Detroit Tigers. Tracy Mathewson stamping is on the back. Comes with paper caption which states: "A rare picture of Ty Cobb made in Augusta while manager of the Detroit team. Glasses were worn just after a serious operation on his eyes. Detroit was training in Augusta, Cobb's home. Picture made about 1925. Picture from Tracy Mathewson". Exhibits areas of light to moderate corner wear: EXFinal Bid: $61.00
