Description: Fantastic 1961 Floyd Patterson and Ingemar Johansson original illustration artwork (2 pieces) by Bruce Stark (EX) Pair of exceptionally well done portraits on 10.25"x13" heavy stock art paper are each signed "Stark" at lower left. One depicts then reigning heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson and the other, his opponent Ingemar Johansson. They met for their third bout in March of 1961 and it appears (given titling written across the top of each by Stark) that the two pieces were prepared so that the proper one could be published after the fight (depending upon winner). We have offered many pieces of illustration art over the years and these are among the more realistic we can recall handling. Hint of light natural age: EX ($500-$750)
