Description: Rare 1913 Spalding's Official Athletic Almanac with Jim Thorpe cover (PR). Very tough-to-find "Red Cover Series" Spalding Almanac features Olympian and multi-sport athlete Jim Thorpe on the cover, as well as a photo on page 8 of Thorpe at the 1912 Olympics with the caption "…the world's greatest all-around athlete..," a description that largely holds true today. Almanac is extremely fragile, with front and back covers held on by a piece of tape. Covers also have numerous creases and tears, while inner pages are intact and clean: PR.Final Bid: $66.00
