Description: Outstanding 1934 Quaker Oats Babe Ruth Premium Photo, framed with original envelope and note from VP (GD). Tremendous framed display is highlighted by an original 8"x10" 1934 Quaker Oats Premium Photo of Ruth with replica signature "To My Pal from Babe Ruth," which was issued to members of the Quaker Oats Babe Ruth Baseball Club. Also included are the original mailing envelope and correspondence from then-Quaker Oats Advertising VP Donald B. Douglas informing the recipient that "Your limerick did not win a Fielder's Glove or Baseball, but there are ten more contests coming," and noting that the winner of the contest was a 13-year-old girl, Virginia Cox of Kansas City. All three pieces are displayed in a 21 1/2"x18" frame. Photo exhibits a 4 1/2" vertical crease extending up from the bottom border, along with light wear and creasing along the edges and corners: GD.
