Description: Lot of (5) vintage baseball stock certificates, including Yankees HOF signatures (Sigs.: NM; Certificates: GD). Highly interesting lot of original stock certificates, highlighted by (2) cancelled documents: Certificate No. 29 issued by the Newark International Baseball Club Inc. to the American League Baseball Club of New York, Inc. (the corporate name under which the New York Yankees operated) in 1946 for 1,800 shares. It has been signed on the front by Ed Barrow in his role as Secretary/Treasurer and George M. Weiss in his role as Vice President. Also included is Certificate No. 3 (with receipt; separated) issued by the Norfolk Baseball Exhibition Co. Inc. in 1949 to the New York Yankees for three shares. It has been signed on the front by George M. Weiss in his role as Vice President and the team's Secretary/Treasurer. Also included are (3) blank stock certificates from the Binghamton Exhibition Co. Inc.; Eastern Baseball Club Inc. and Independence Exhibition Co. Inc. (all with receipts attached). The signatures rate 7 out of 10. General handling and storage wear includes creases/wrinkles, some mild toning, a few small holes/tears and what appears to be minor moisture damage on the blank certificates: GD.Final Bid: $110.00
