Description: c.1910s "Old Mill Cigarettes Base Ball Picture Cards" advertising piece - an exceedinly rare period piece promoting T206 (GD) A unique curiosity which appears to date to the period advertises Old Mill Cigarettes and promotes the baseball cards inside which would go on to be classified as "T206" and become one of the most widely collected of all issues. They are appropriately listed at (5) cents per package with rectangular areas at either side in which packages of product were meant to be affixed. Done on heavy stock with bright red accents it displays some mild to moderate creases and a few tears. Presently framed for display (8"x17" overall) with a pair of Old Mill backed common cards (different back variations) which were added by our consignor (one has visible creasing and wear, the other some paper loss at one side). This was possibly a "proof" and while it may have gone into larger scale production, this is the first example we have ever seen: GD ($1,000-$1,500)Final Bid: $2,900.00
