Description: 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle Rookie (SGC Authentic) with autographed holder in which it was long displayed (Sig. NM) Key Rookie card displaying a crisp and well registered image that slightly off center (favoring the left edge) and light corner wear. There is a crease at upper right does not have overwhelming effect on eye appeal. A few small spots of blue ink have been added to fill in color on the hat along the crease. Another small spot at left side of Mantle's hat at brim line has also been touched up. These account for the "Authentic" designation from SGC on a card which otherwise grades GD/VG-VG. Long one of the prized pieces of a substantial vintage trading card collection, it was displayed within a lucite screwdown case (included) which has been signed across the front, "Mickey Mantle."
