Description: 1948 Swell Babe Ruth Story complete set of (28) cards with all scarce high numbers (Range VG-EX) Seldom offered set was released along with "The Babe Ruth Story" movie and initially contained just (16) cards. That base set (cards 1-16) ranges VG-EX with some centering issues and the keys are as follows: #1 In The Making (has small indentation/tear at lower edge) and 16 The Homer (VG/EX-EX miscut). Cards 17-28 were issued following the death of Ruth and are more obscure. These are in similar VG-EX range (some VG/EX) of condition with keys as follows: 21 Crowd of Autograph Seekers (VG/EX-EX O/C), 25 Ruth/Bendix (VG/EX-EX miscut), 26 Ruth/Bendix (VG/EX-EX miscut), 27 Ruth/Trevor (VG/EX-EX), and 28 Ruth/Bendix/Trevor (likely trimmed): Range VG-EX ($500-$1,000)Final Bid: $636.00
