Overall appearance is superb with fine original surface and inlaid "P.Lorillard & Co. 1760-1883" advertising across the center door moullions. Cabinets such as these once occupied prominent placements in various shops of the period displaying tobacco related wares. The sign has had some restoration with inpainting to the top center area, lower right corner area, and top right/left corner areas. Color on the front is uncommonly strong and the card is free of the typical candy staining seen on this issue. The reverse is equally clean with no abrasions. On the reverse at the left edge is a very minor surface wrinkle. The aforementioned wrinkle is the only factor holding this card from grading NM.
