Description: Scarce and possibly unique 1909-11 T-206 Vic Willis with purple color variation background. Portrait card of Willis is well centered with even corner wear and some general back wear. This particular Willis portrait variation is always seen with a red color background. While this red color can be found in slightly varying tonality, the offered example is clearly an oddity with a pale purple color pigment. The card was recently discovered along with a private collection of tobacco cards and is being offered publicly for the first time: SGC 30 GD
