Lot Number: 88

Description: Early leather face guard c.1920s-30s. Rigid liner which is wrapped in leather offered protection for the user and could be worn underneath a helmet. It would provide cover for the nose and mouth and was likely not as restrictive as the head harness helmets of the time which had more cumbersome built in face coverage. Done at the highest level of quality with a leather strap affixed that went over the head in addition to one on either side. Mild use and some age related wear. Unmarked: EX
