Beautiful grey flannel jersey retaining its original embroidered team insignia across the front with original "32" on both front and back. "Carlton" lettering on the back has been expertly restored by the renowned Textile Conservation Workshop with nearly undetectable precision. Proper Rawlings manufacturer's label with size 44 indicator affixed to the tail front having "Carlton 70" chain stitched above. Additional dry clean label also on tail front with "Set 1 PBP 1970" flag tag. Appropriate general moderate use/wash wear is visible throughout while retaining vibrant original color and eye appeal. Signed by Carlton in black sharpie across the front. Carlton led the National League in 1970 with 19 losses and followed with a 20 win season in 1971. The Cardinals traded him in 1972 to the Philadelphia Phillies which remains to date one of the most lopsided acquisitions in MLB history.
