Description: 1965 Curt Flood autographed St. Louis Cardinals contract - Gold Glove Award winning season. Uniform Player's contract as executed between Flood and the Cardinals for his services during the 1965 season. Flood's performance during the 1965 may rank as the overall best of his career hitting .310 with (11) homeruns at the plate and he was awarded his third consecutive Gold Glove (he would go on to win three more) for his play in the field. Just a few seasons later his refusal to accept a trade following the 1969 season would lay the groundwork for the legal concept of free agency and his actions changed the face of professional sports forever. Signed by Flood ("Curtis Charles Flood"), N.L. President Warren Giles, and Cardinals G.M. Bob Howsam. Ink signatures rate 8 to 8/9 out of 10. Typical fold lines and a touch of other light wear.
