Black knit jersey with blue/orange team name and "31" affixed to the front having matching "Piazza" and "31" on back. Interior tail front retains Rawlings Authentic manufacturer's label with "Plus 1" Body Length/Minus 1" sleeve length/+ 1/2" sleeve circ" tag, "50" size tag, and "Set 1 2002" tag. Mets 50th Anniversary patch with 9/11/01 US Flag decor on one sleeve and Mets team patch on opposite. The jersey exhibits evident use and wash wear particularly to the manufacturer's labeling. Originally obtained by a collector who received items directly from players and team employees in the period. Very fine game jersey from an iconic member of the Mets 2000s era teams.
