Description: 1989 Mike Schmidt autographed Philadelphia Phillies professional model road jersey (Final MLB Season)(SGC/Grob: Superior). Grey knit road jersey dating to the final season of Schmidt's Hall of Fame career having maroon on white tackle twill "P" and "20" on front. Back displays "Schmidt" nameplate above matching "20". Rawlings manufacturer's label inside collar area with size 44 indicator along with "Set 1 1989" flag tag and "Schmidt" chanin stitched strip tag. The shirt exhibits ideal light to moderate use/wash wear given that Schmidt appeared in only 42 games during the 1989 season. Schmidt abruptly, and admirably, ended his Hall of Fame career in May of 1989 due to his sub par play and exhibited uncommon emotion during a tearful retirement announcement. Very fine game jersey from the best third baseman in the history of the game. Signed in black sharpie across the front of the jersey.
