Description: Connie Mack autographed large format photograph. Sepia toned 10"x14" studio portrait has been signed "To My Dear Friend Harry M. Wagner, Connie Mack" within the lower border. Fountain pen signature rates 8-8/9 out of 10. Wagner (more commonly known as H. Madonna Wagner) was a highly regarded photographer who worked out of "Wagner's Studio" in Philadelphia. His work often featured the Philadelphia Athletics and his portraits of members of that team are some of the best known of the period. He has likewise signed the piece just below Mack's image and there is a raised "H.M. Wagner" mark at lower right. Light toning and a touch of corner/edge wear. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Sig.
