Description: 1888-89 N173 Old Judge Cabinets Charles Comiskey (Hands shoulder high, no ball). Large format (4.25"x6.5") cabinet card issued as part of a sought after series by Goodwin & Co. in exchange for coupons inserted in packages of Old Judge cigarettes. These cabinets rank among the desirable of all early tobacco cards. The legendary Hall of Fame owner of the Chicago White Sox is shown in his younger days as a member of the St. Louis Browns. Spotting/toning effects the photographic portion which also appears to have an erased pencil notation along the upper edge. Mild general wear includes some upper surface paper loss along the right front side of the mount and a small area on the upper back: SGC 1 PREstimated Price Range: ($1,500-$2,500)
