Description: Rare Michael Jordan autographed Nike Air Jordan II professional model sneakers with outstanding provenance. Rare pair of original Nike Air Jordan II professional model sneakers were obtained by our consignor directly from Michael Jordan who was a former business partner of the basketball icon. Each sneaker has been signed “Michael Jordan” in black marker with the right shoe signature rating approx. 7/8 out of 10 and the left somewhat lesser due to a small area of surface loss. As is commonly seen with vintage sneakers from this time period the soles have largely detached due to disintegration of the foam and other material (with portions of the later now missing). The upper leather portions remain fully intact however they have some residue of the degraded material scattered throughout the surface due to improper storage. It is likely that much of this residue can be removed. The popularity of sneaker collecting has advanced restoration in that area to the point that, if the winning bidder elected, the uppers could likely be re-attached to similar (or the same lowers from another pair) lower portions. As they are, they can be suitably positioned for display with only mild loss of visual appeal. One of the more well documented pair of early career Jordan autographed game sneakers we have seen enter the marketplace.
