Description: 1980-81 Tommy Heinsohn NBA Players Association Leadership Award. Visually appealing figural trophy has a metal placard on the base which reads, "Leadership Award 1980-81, Tom Heinsohn, Especially honored for significantly contributing to the growth and development of the National Basketball Players Association." A players association logo is imprinted to the left. Atop the round base is a mother holding child figure which is surrounded by heavy gauge metal wire that is arranged in the form of a basketball with "NBA PLAYERS" lettering affixed to the front. The piece stands just under 15" tall with base measuring 9" across at the widest point. Touch of light surface wear.
