Description: 1996 John Smoltz autographed Atlanta Braves professional model road jersey (Cy Young Award winning season). Road gray jersey has "Atlanta" team name across the front and number "29" on back below a "Smoltz" nameplate. Russell Athletic tag on the front tail notes size (48) and adjacent is a "100% Polyester" flag tag. Strong use and wash wear are evident throughout and the back numbers are signed and inscribed "John Smoltz 96 NL CY" in marker rating 7/8 out of 10. A "1996 World Series" patch on the left sleeve suggest possible preparation for use in the post-season or in some cases these patches were added later by the team prior to sale into the collector market. An outstanding representation from what is arguably the finest season of Smoltz's Hall of Fame career in which he lead the National League in both in wins and strikeouts earning a Cy Young Award.
